About the author
Serhij Tatchyn, a Ukrainian artist and poet, has been showcasing his artwork since 1989 in Ukraine and around the world, particularly in Italy, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Canada, and the United States. Besides art, he's also written 10 poetry books and contributed to various publications.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Tatchyn bravely joined the National Guard of Ukraine during the Russian invasion, where he was wounded and honored with medals such as the "Military Service to Ukraine" and "Cross of Freedom" for his service. Despite his injuries, Tatchyn and a team of four military personnel are painting frescoes in the newly built Church of Yuri the Victorious on the National Guard of Ukraine base in his hometown Vinnytsia. The church, once completed, will be the first Ukrainian Army House of Worship in the traditions of the Zaporizhzhian Kozaks from the 16th century.
