About the author
Ath Petrochilos is a British-Greek visual artist currently based in London, UK. Working as an abstract painter, he incorporates elements of symbolism and fantasy into his paintings while exploring the metaphysical nature of observation, creation and change. Utilizing traditional painters’ concepts of line, distance, negative space, color, mark, speed, repetition, and form, Ath Petrochilos not only creates dynamic compositions which often extend beyond the canvas but also invites viewers to contemplate the complexities and limitations of interpretation and meaning. His artistic process is deeply intuitive, often beginning with layers of color or spontaneous brushstrokes. 
He has exhibited works in venues in London and in Greece, and his work can be found in several private collections.  
Ath Petrochilos has a personal connection with Ukraine and was living and working in Kyiv until the full-scale military invasion in 2022.
